Professional Instruction for Safe and Confident Drivers

Whether you’re a beginner, a nervous learner, or someone returning to driving after a long break, our qualified instructors guide you step-by-step through the entire process. We focus on both the technical skills — like steering, braking, lane changes, and parking — as well as the mental readiness that every driver needs to remain calm, alert, and responsible on the road.

What is the safer drivers course?

The NSW Safer Drivers Course teaches learner drivers under 25 to develop safe driving skills and prepare for driving solo.

This course can help you understand speed management, gap selection, hazard awareness, safe following distances, and how to keep driving safely when you get distracted.

This Includes:

These two sessions can be attended on different days, or on the same day. Check with your course provider.

  • hold a valid NSW learner licence
  • be under 25
  •  have completed at least 50 log book hours of on-road driving (excluding any 3 for 1 bonus hours).
  • have included night driving in some of those hours.

Bonus hours

If you complete the NSW Safer Drivers Course, you will earn 20 bonus hours of log book credit. The course has been designed for a learner to attend once, so the 20 bonus hours will only count towards your log book once.

You would then need to finish 100 hours of supervised driving outside the course. If you also have 10 structured lessons with a licensed driving instructor, you’ll only need to do 70 hours of supervised driving – because these lessons also earn you bonus hours.

How much does the Safer Drivers Course cost?

The course costs $140, which you pay to the course provider.
